Hot Work Fire Safety Course – Online Training
Do you need certification to be a permit issuer, operator, or fire watch?
Are you working with tools that generate heat or sparks? If so, you need a valid certificate.

We offer both open courses and online options. Your company can also book a private course, and we’ll come to your workplace.
Join the course remotely
Can’t attend in person? Participate online via a live link. You can complete the practical fire-extinguishing exercise at another time. When booking an online course, a link will be sent to you prior to the session, matching the same schedule as the in-person class.
Important: You must complete a practical fire-extinguishing exercise with an approved provider within six months before or after the course to receive your certificate. You can book this with us or another provider. Click here!
How remote training works:
- Each participant joins from home, work, or any location with minimal distractions.
- Ensure access to a personal computer or tablet with a webcam and, ideally, a headset.
- Our digital classroom opens 20 minutes before the start. Please log in at least five minutes early.
- A link will be sent via email before the course. We use Zoom (free and easy to use). Detailed instructions will be provided beforehand.
- At the start of the course, we’ll guide you through the technical setup.
Note: Have a valid ID ready for identification purposes during the course.

What is Hot Work?
Hot work involves tasks like using gas burners, angle grinders, welding, heat guns, soldering, roofing, or high-speed tools. For these activities, a certified training course is mandatory.
Due to the high risk of fire associated with hot work, insurance companies have tightened regulations, leading to fewer incidents. One of these requirements is that anyone involved in hot work must have proper certification and follow safety procedures.
Even if you’re ordering hot work services, you may need certification if you are responsible for issuing permits or conducting the work. Compliance with these rules is crucial to minimize costly fires. Certificates are valid for five years and issued after passing the course exam.
Hot Work Certification
Certification is conducted through SVEBRA during the course. Participants take an exam on their mobile devices and receive a digital certificate immediately. A plastic card will be delivered within a few days.
We also register your training in the ID06 competence database at no extra cost (value: 200 SEK/person).
